I am an advanced Certified Marketing Specialist™, with real work experience in growing companies social and digital branding across all platforms. My experience as a Marketing Director includes: leading digital campaign elements including paid search, SEO, and display ads as part of larger integrated campaigns. Using a combination of CRM data as well as additional analytical tools to determine campaign effectiveness and optimization opportunities.

I have worn many hats in my Career-Sales (BV), Sales Team Manager (BV), Logistics (BV), Marketing Manager (BV), Marketing Analyst (MGA), Marketing Coordinator (MIM), Marketing Director at Money In Motion (MIM), and now I am the Marketing Director and Marketing Deparmental Manager of Communications at the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC). As a result, I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and to navigate complex challenges.

—I’ve had the passion to work for not only myself, my career; but, also my place of work. Lots of people have “Big Ideas,” But the will to work / execute those ideas is what matters, and I do execution!

Colleagues know me as a highly creative marketer who can always be trusted to come up with a new approach. But I know that the business comes first, and I never try to impose my ideas on others. Instead, I spend a lot of time understanding the business and the audience before suggesting ideas.

Current Marketing Role: Experienced Marketing Director

Directly manage a team of professionals for both Marketing and Creative Services as well as lead a complex team of cross-functional partners to guarantee the success of current portfolio and future projects.

Responsible for the development of the corporation’s annual integrated marketing communications plans and supervision of all marketing strategies for the company all while managing a team of marketing professionals. I oversee the development of goals, strategies, and implementation plans to execute comprehensive marketing campaigns that are aligned with the corporate and board members’ objectives.

Develop and manage all the corporation’s event planning and fundraising strategy for CISC’s signature events, specifically the annual Canadian Steel Conference, regional design awards, steel week, golf tournaments, as well as tradeshows, and other ad-hoc events. This includes managing with my team all the event logistics, budgeting, sponsorship, creative on-site collateral (programs, branding, booths, advertisements), event websites, email communications, and engagement to all prospective event sponsors and attendees.

Editor and chief planner of our quarterly corporate digital and print magazine Advantage Steel. I plan and align all written features, column pieces, as well as advertisement placements

Develop and manage our PR communications, including the creation of press kits, followed up with media and relations that help expand on interest and corporate industry lobbying efforts for the CISC.

Write and oversee the design of the corporate annual reports, education and research donor accountability report, and all other corporate documents as required.

Manage and develop CISC’s SEO content strategy; as well as, online SEM Google advertisements (acquisition/retargeting) plans, and execution.

Develop and deliver creative marketing strategies, promotions, video marketing, plans, and approaches to help market and position all CISC’s products (courses, certifications, publications) and membership services.

Sit on committees and conduct, plan as well as deliver marketing solutions that are aligned with the committee group’s goals.
